Why Now

AI adoption is everywhere, but business results are uneven. The next wave is not more prompting. It is agents connected to workflows, systems, records, approvals, and human oversight.

Karl explains what is real, what is hype, and where companies should start if they want AI to move the business instead of just helping individuals work faster.

Brief Bio

Karl Kimball is the founder and principal of KeySingularity, an AI advisory and solutions practice that helps companies find where work waits, then use AI to move that work faster with better context, better follow-up, and human oversight.

He brings more than two decades of leadership experience across banking, payments, capital markets, risk, compliance, and enterprise technology, including senior executive roles at Bank of America and leadership roles across major investment banks including Barclays Capital, Societe Generale, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch.

Before founding KeySingularity, Karl built and scaled Governance, Risk, and Compliance practices inside the world's largest staffing company, giving him a practical view of enterprise sales, consulting delivery, workforce systems, and how large organizations turn expertise into repeatable operating capability.

Karl's current work combines executive advisory with hands-on AI building. He helps leaders move beyond prompts, chat, and individual productivity into repeatable workflows where AI can notice a trigger, gather context, prepare the next step, route work, flag exceptions, update systems, and keep the business moving.

Conversation Themes

Why You Want to Talk to Karl

He Is Building This Now

Karl is not just watching the AI market. He is building agents, voice workflows, documentation systems, reporting pipelines, and AI-enabled business processes now.

He Explains the ROI Gap

Most companies are still using AI for personal productivity. Karl can explain why that activity often fails to become ROI, and what changes when AI is connected to real workflows.

He Has Operator Judgment

His Bank of America, investment-bank, risk, compliance, and staffing background gives him a grounded view of controls, customers, workforce bottlenecks, delivery capacity, and what breaks when a business grows.

He Speaks Business

Karl is technical enough to pressure-test the solution, but he speaks the language of business: revenue, risk, operations, customers, capacity, controls, and measurable value.

Proof Points

  • Hands-on AI builder: Karl is building with AI now, not commenting on it from the sidelines. He works directly with agents, voice workflows, documentation systems, reporting pipelines, and AI systems that move real business work.
  • Agents and where AI is going: Karl can explain why the next step is not better chat prompts. It is agents connected to triggers, tools, records, calendars, inboxes, CRMs, documents, workflows, and human review.
  • Pushing the right boundaries: he helps companies decide where AI should stay as personal productivity, where it should become workflow execution, and where leaders need stronger governance before they go further.
  • Focused on where work waits: his AI work centers on lead response, proposal backlog compression, documentation readiness, field capture, reporting workflows, sensitive-data environments, and other points where stalled work leaks growth, margin, or control.
  • Business language plus builder credibility: Karl can talk to executives about operating-model change, ROI, risk, and growth, then get specific about what the agent should notice, what context it needs, what it should prepare, when it should route, and where a human must approve.
  • Bank of America and major investment-bank leadership: he was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America and held leadership roles across major investment banks, giving him deep experience in high-stakes environments where controls, auditability, resilience, and execution discipline are not optional.
  • Built large operating practices: he built and scaled Governance, Risk, and Compliance practices inside the world's largest staffing company, which shaped how he thinks about repeatable delivery, ownership, and outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of hiring and workforce systems: his staffing and consulting leadership gives him a practical view of where recruiting, screening, matching, delivery, and talent deployment break down at scale.
